Sr Advisor Transit (Transit Sr. Project Manager) is responsible for providing complete lifecycle project management of the planning and delivery of projects within the Transit capital portfolio.

What You Will Do
Manage a small group of Planners and Inspectors providing advanced technical leadership and expertise for planning and construction, coaching/mentoring, onboarding support, business expertise, work assignments and conflict resolution support.
Provide advanced project management expertise and support including Project Lifecycle Gating and Control (PLGC) documentation, cost estimating and financial tracking, invoice coding and management, schedule creation and management, material procurement, financial forecasting, time tracking, risk assessment and management, resource planning and third-party contractor management including contractor selection if required.
Provide direct construction oversight and support to facilitate safe and timely completion of Transit projects as the need arises.
Provide in-depth knowledge and support of the Planning, Design, and Records (PDR) Manual, the Construction and Maintenance (C&M) Manual as well as any other relevant standards or guidelines during the design and execution stages of a project/program.
Negotiate, develop, and manage legal agreements with transit authorities and various stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with external and internal partners, resolve issues and challenges independently and act as the first point of contact for any critical issues or conflicts.
Maintain detailed documentation of project files, sensitive communications, third party submissions, legal documentation as well as internal reviews and approvals and all other relevant project information..
Develop and maintain contract change order agreements with Extended Alliance partners, review and approve scope changes pertaining to conflicts and field conditions observed during construction.
Attend Utility Coordination meetings, site meetings and other external meetings as required to represent Enbridge, coordinate projects and where possible minimize the impact to Enbridge infrastructure.
Ensure all project close out and invoicing activities are completed promptly.
Lead collaboration with other Transit PMs to ensure lessons learned are shared, documented, and actioned for improvement where possible.
Project manage multiple transit programs with projects at different lifecycle stages simultaneously.
Help to develop Sr Analysts and Advisors, provide direction to planners and inspectors during coordination, management, and execution of transit work.
Develop, update, and maintain general process improvements within the Transit team.
Who You Are
You will have the following:
Related university degree and a minimum of 6 years’ experience (in a Planning, Construction/Project Management and/or Engineering environment) OR 8+ years of previous field operations experience. An equivalent mix of formal education and experience may be considered.
Project management certificate/experience and detailed understanding of utility designs and Planning/Construction procedures and policies.
P. Eng or Certified Engineering Technician/Technologist or equivalent, and GPI certification is an asset.
Highly independent with the ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment. Previous people leadership or execution project leadership experience is an asset.
Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, problem solving and negotiation skills.
Proven experience cultivating effective working relationships with peers and internal/external stakeholders.
Results orientated while maintaining a balance between competing priorities
Thorough knowledge of Planning, Design & Records, Operation & Maintenance, and Construction policies and procedures.
Detailed knowledge of various computer software programs including Microsoft Office Suit, Microstation and/or AutoCAD.
Solid Understanding of Maximo, e-GIS, planning and records is desired.
Job shadow, cross training or work experience from any of the following departments: Construction, M&R, Corrosion, Leak Survey, Engineering, AR&I is an asset.
In depth business, industrial and company knowledge is required to perform planning and construction functions effectively, recognizing impacts on capital dollars and understanding Codes, Standards and regulations is required. Legacy Union Gas knowledge/experience is considered an asset.
This role is comprised of both office and field work (80% and 20%, respectively). A valid Ontario G class drivers’ license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required.
Occasional travel within Ontario may be required.
