Our Engineering Construction team is accountable for the safe and effective execution of asset integrity, growth, and sophisticated pipeline/station projects.
We are looking for an individual who has business and technical knowledge, and demonstrates leadership skills when leading projects and resolving technical and process problems. This position requires an individual that has a keen awareness of interrelationships with internal and external stakeholders.
As the Sr Advisor Construction Project Management, you will work to ensure accurate end to end project management for the portfolio of projects is completed using sound project management practices and following the Project Lifecycle Gating Control Process.

What You Will Do
Responsible, both independently and as a leader within the group, for the overall project management of pipeline and/or station construction, testing & commissioning, contract tendering, cost, schedule, quality, safety, environment, and risk as the key elements of execution.
Ensure effective planning, design, communication, and working rapport across all partner groups, internal and external, to facilitate effective delivery-to-plan by responsible functions with a keen awareness of interrelationships with other partners.
Address technical questions or problems arising during construction and facilitate accurate interpretation of design specifications, construction and logistics plans, and schedules.
Lead all aspects of testing, tie-in, commissioning plan creation, and to facilitate any resources and approvals required including Work Permits.
Lead comprehensive design, constructability, operability reviews, and project risk assessments to assist in developing and implementing appropriate strategies to resolve challenges.
As a subject matter advisor, demonstrate detailed understanding of construction practices and assist and mentor junior staff in the department.
Responsible to develop mitigation strategies for pipeline industry related construction risks and construction contracts as well as ensure applicable contractor deliverables meet project deliverables, business needs, and applicable standards.
Responsible for project execution cost estimates and construction schedules and for any revisions throughout the project to ensure effective tracking and forecasting for delivery-to-plan.
Responsible for Project Life Cycle Gating (PLGC) controls and Management of Change (MOC) standard as well as the effective integration and close-out of the project, including turnover of the assets to the operating groups, following Pre-Start-up Safety Review (PSSR) Standard.
Who You Are
You will have the following education and experience:
University degree or related construction or operational training and/ experience with a minimum of 6 years of previous related experience (Project Management/Construction/Operations/Planning and/or Engineering experience, preferred). Equivalent combination of formal education and experience may be considered.
Project Management experience and solid understanding of Operations and Engineering procedures and policies and/or PMP or P.Eng/C.E.T. designations or equivalent experience.
Understanding of pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for sophisticated projects.
Understanding of pipeline and/or gate station design, construction practices and field operations, including integrity management program pipeline work specific to the Enbridge system and policies and procedures.
Knowledge and experience with procurement, pricing strategies, bid evaluation, cost and scheduling controls.
Multi-year project management experience relating to field operations, construction, pipeline/station design and planning.
Highly effective interpersonal skills with solid ability to work with diverse groups and individual personalities is required (project team, internal/external partners, customers, contractors, consultants, field and management resources).
Proven planning, organizational, problem solving, decision making and negotiating skills, conflict resolution, supplemented with a practical aptitude.
Flexibility to perform under short time constraints to meet targets.
This role is comprised of both office and field work (50% and 50%, respectively). Valid class G drivers’ license and maintenance of a responsible driving record is required.
Some travel may be required within the GTA East operating regions.
