Job Description

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assist with ongoing digital projects on a case-by-case basis
  • Plan, implement and monitor social media channels and strategies
  • Moderate and act on response protocols to social and digital community comments and inquiries
  • Support live social media events
  • Plan, manage and deliver against an annual social media content calendar
  • Act as our support contact for regional social media teams and administrators – including the development and delivery of training and education on our social media best practices
  • Liaise with all internal teams to ensure timely delivery of curated content and scheduling against multiple campaigns under strict daily, weekly and monthly deadlines and deliverables
  • Coordinate approved, error-free copy and high-quality content in all tactics under the social media and digital umbrella with the aim of increasing awareness, engagement and fundraising

Internal collaboration

  • Attend and deliver meetings with internal stakeholders to define needs and assist with campaign planning as required
  • Coordinate assets and content copy with agencies, internal colleagues, members of the MarComm team, etc.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns overall





Social Media, Email and Analytics

  • Participate in the planning, creating, editing and implementation of content (audio, video, copy, imaging etc.) for our social media channels
  • Monitor social media and prepare weekly reports as required on areas of interest, brand health and sentiment or other KPIs as determined by the MarComm leadership and team
  • Follow up with different internal departments, defining needs, collecting content, receiving deliverables, information or approvals
  • Provide friendly, enthusiastic, and impeccable customer service that is both responsive, tactful and educational
  • Create and communicate content calendars for social media and support email marketing channels as needed
  • Develop training and process materials as needed
  • Maintain interest and practice in new and emerging social trends, tactics and tools to educate and evolve our internal teams
  • Produce dashboards relaying analytics and insights on email, social media and mass marketing tactics like podcasts, videos, community groups, etc.
  • Assist with communications in support of digital marketing campaigns
  • Assist with definition of social media performance metrics and indicators

Our ideal candidate

  • College Diploma in Marketing, Multimedia or Communication with some technical knowledge of digital marketing and related technologies (e.g. webservice, CMS, Database, etc.)
  • Minimum 3 years managing social media/digital content and platforms
  • Fluent and proven expertise in a variety of social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn etc.) and new/emerging platforms and tactics, including facilitating livestreamed events
  • Experience monitoring, moderating and responding to user comments, feedback, response protocols with social media communities, groups forums and message boards
  • Experience with native paid dashboards PPC campaign and audience segmentation/demographics and reporting (e.g. Twitter Ads, Facebook Business Manager etc.)
  • Experience working and liaising with social media influencers, brands and personalities
  • Experience with UTMs, link tracking, shorteners, conversions and reporting on social media metrics
  • Experience with social media publishing and management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Hubspot etc.)
  • Proficiency with editing/content creation software (Adobe CC, Giphy, podcasting platforms etc.)
  • Experience working in the non-profit industry, an asset
  • Familiarity with web design and publishing an asset
  • Experience with audience and customer persona research an asset
  • HTML and CSS knowledge, an asset
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, CMS and EMS systems, and Google Analytics
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively support multiple projects
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively work cross-functionally, source information, obtain approvals, build relationships, and influence others
  • Problem solver, able to learn new things quickly, with great attention to detail
