Job Description

FESTIVAL SEATING COORDINATOR

Contract

Full-time

Ticketing Operations

The Festival Seating Coordinator works with the Senior Manager of Ticketing & Customer Relations on the planning and execution of TIFF’s Festival internal ticket requests. The person in this role will be a liaison between internal departments, ensuring that their ticketing needs are met accurately and efficiently while maintaining positive relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist with overseeing all Festival internal ticket requests
    • Assist with creating and developing processes related to seating and ticketing requests.
    • Supervise Internal Ticketing staff to enforce TIFF’s ticketing policies and procedures.
    • Serve as a liaison between departments and Internal Ticketing to meet all ticketing requirements.
    • Closely monitors all holds for each event.
    • Provide administrative support to the Senior Manager of Ticketing and Customer Relations.
    • Prior to the start of any reserved event, review seat inventory and update maps for Festival venue teams.
    • Communicate event issues to appropriate departments and ensure they are resolved.
  • Oversee the preparation of invoices and ensures payments are received.
  • Assists departments with troubleshooting any client seating-related issues.
  • Preparation of reports and lists involving ticketing system data and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

JOB GRADE & SALARY OR RATE OF PAY:

  • $20/Hour

TARGET CONTRACT DATES OR START DATE:

  • June 26, 2023 –September 18, 2023

WORK LOCATION:

  • Office Location: 350 King Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 3X5
  • Weekly in office requirements: 
    • Minimum 2 days (November to May)
    • Minimum 3 days (June to October) 
  • Festival Office Requirements: Full Time during Festival

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous high-level guest or customer service-related experience is required
  • Experience with professional event ticketing or patron management system (Archtics and Ticketmaster experience is an asset)
  • Experience in data entry is an asset
  • Available to work for the duration of the contract
  • Detail-oriented and articulate with strong communications skills
  • Personable and proactive team player with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to be comfortable and efficient working in a fast-paced environment often requiring flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to communicate and work well with others in a loud, fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate with people with various levels of technical expertise
  • Adaptable to a flexible work schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Strong Proficiency within Microsoft Excel
  • Highly motivated and capable of both working independently and with a team 
  • You work with multiple teams, sometimes up to 4 or 5. This means you have exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility in the workplace
